C. italica Ricci, 1949, C. romána R icci, 1949, and C. rivarolai Lent, Preitas et Proenca, 1946, have a shorter spicule than that of the new species, moreover, the already described species have papillae and rays of different shape, number, and position on the tail end. Only an inadequate description of C_. diesingi (Kolenati, 1856) is known, still, the disparity in the geographic distribution makes the taxonomic distinctness of the two species probable. C. vespertilionis (Rud., 1819) has no original description, so, according to TRAVASSOS , it is a nomen nudum; LOPEZ-NEYRA places it with C. speciosa (Skrjabin et al., 195V). The male of C. pipistrelli Yamaguti 1941 is not known. Holotype register No. V/34. Deposited in the Parasitological Collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Type locality Ta-phinh (Sapa District), host: Rhinolophus sinicus, date: 24Hov., 1971, collectors: Dr. I. MATSKÁSI and Dr. Gy. TOPÁL.
