Dr. Holló Ferenc szerk.: Parasitologia Hungarica 3. (Budapest, 1970)
European region, found on Mus musculus L. in Poland (WEGNER, 1961 under the name H.musculi sp.n.) as well as in the European part of the U.S.S.R. (Byelorussia and Ukraine - ARZAMASOV ,1967; SERGIENKO, 1967). There is a good possibility that previous records of lice reported from Mus musculus 1. and determined as Hoplopleura acanthopus Burm. belong also here. Thus, PERRIS (1951) mentions them from Rumania, SMETANA (i960) from Albania, TURYANIN (1962) and SEVASTYANOV (1962) found them in the Ukraine, and ZAN INA (1967) in other parts of the U.S.S.R. A species new for Hungary, at present collected on Mus musculus spicilegus Petényi: 2 <j> leg. SZABÓ 20 XI, 1963, Sarkadremete (Comitat Békés) 2 £ leg. SZABÓ 23 IX, 1964, Oros (Comitat Szabolcs-Szatmár) . Hoplopleura longula (Neumann) A rarely observed specific parasite of Micromys minutus (Pall.), known in the European and East-Asiatic regions. The occurrence of the species was reported, among other countries, in Czechoslovakia (Southern Slovakia - SMETANA, 1965), Poland (WEGNER, 1966), and the U.S.S.R. (for instance in Byelorussia and Ukraine - ARZAMASOV and TRUKHAN, 1966; SERGIENKO, 1967). In the opinion of VOICU and al., (1968), H. longula (Neum. ) is found on Mus musculus spicilegus Petényi In Rumania. A species new for Hungary, found on Micromys minutus (Pall.): 1 Ô leg. SZABÓ 28 VII, 1963,Németbánya Bakony (Comitat Veszprém); 6 0* 18 <j) leg. SZABÓ 6 X,1963, Kisbalaton. Coparasitism with Po- lyplax gracilis Eahr. Polyplax gracilis Pahrenholz A rarely found parasite of Micromys minutus (Pall,), known in the European and East-Asiatic regions. In Europe, it was found only in Germany ( PAHRENHOLZ, 1910), Poland (WEGNER, 1966), Rumania (VOICU and al., 1968) and the U.S.S.R, (the delta of the Volga and the Latvian SSR - DUBININ, 1953, LAPIN, 1959).
