2he control measures consist of 3 main parts: 1. the compulsory medicinal treatment of dogs against Cestodes by Devermin (Chlnoin) once a year; that of sheep dogs and those kept on stock-breeding farms three times a year; 2. the supervision of private slaughtering of animals, in order to prevent Infection of dogs; 3. informative campaigns and propaganda among the agricultural population by the mass media of press, radio, television, posters, and leaflets.
