A greatly deficient archive remained after the operation of the different people's front committees (independent, patriotic) and trade union committees, too. MAIN ARCHIVE UNIT XI - ECONOMIC BODIES In this main archive unit primarily the documents oi the industrial plants, commercial arid transport companies, credit and insurance organisations and agricultural plants (159 archive units; 85 lm) can be found. As the impact of the economic development starting in the whole country at the end of the 19 th century, especially around Budapest, at several settlements of the county, mainly in the towns, industrial units and other economic enterprises were established. Financial institutions playing a role in financing them were established at the same time, too. Most oi their documents were destroyed, especially because of the devastating wars oi the 20 th century, and hardly any oi them got into the Archives.
