Seventeen thousand meters of historical source/Introduction of the main archives
Dab község pecsétnyomója (1686) Siegel der Gemeinde Dab (J 686) Stamp of Dab village (1686) person having the testament, had been increased from 1710 to the middle of the 19 rh century. The Collection of Guild Certificates (1694-1817) keeps the regulations of all different kinds of guilds (tailor, tanner, miller, blacksmith, furrier, builder, weaver, belt-maker, shoe maker, joiner, carpenter, wheel-maker, locksmith, waiter, watchmaker, rifle-maker) operating in the towns and settlements of the county announced by the county in Hungarian language. In case settlements ol the minorities the regulations were written in the native language of the population. The archival fond of the Collection of Documents Remained from Attorneys (14 th c-1835) contains documents of attorneys and some county officers who lived in Pest and died between 1788 and 1835. The documents ended up in our Archive partially upon requests of relatives or clients based on decisions made by the convention or by a small-scale meeting. Nonetheless the collection has documents of not more than fifty attorneys, and county officials, it contains the documents left for attorneys of more than a thousand families, and among them we can find some írom the 14 rh century. The Archival Collection of the Regulations and Price Controls of Pest-Pilis-Solt County (1718-1874) is a rich historical source. The county had been doing its own regulation regarding the competence of the small- and the medium-scale convention, the system of appointing county civil servants, operation of sedria, the taxation, pursuit of evildoer, etc. until these were not ruled by the Law. Among the regulations there are forms of oath for officials, for citizens and also for witnesses to be administered at court. The prices of different meat, including poultry, the dairy products, egg, suet, candle, flour, etc. were regulated at the county regular or small-scale convention. They ascertained the price of fieldwork, according to districts, the seigniorial domestic servants' wages, payments for harvest work and the price of tradesmen's work. The collected fonds recording the events of the Revolution and War of Independence of 1848-49 took place in the county have been formed from the documents remained from the Vice-Lieutenant, the Chairman, different committees, and audit offices. Their extent in some cases is only a few centimetres. Last but not least we mention the Stamp-Print Collection of the Settlements of Pest-Pilis-Solt-Kiskun County that represents a heraldical, sigillographical value.
