About die PestA } His-Solt county noble convention files The following years remained for us írom the sequence of the convention reports: 16381644, 1656-1703, 1705-1710, 1712 (incomplete), 1715-1725 (but the year of 1715 is incomplete, and the section between March 21, 1724 and June 20, 1725 is missing). The report sequence is almost complete between 1725 and 1848 apart from some missing ones. During the Rákóczi-war of independence (1703-1711) the county split into two parts. The Pilis district, Pest and Buda remained under the imperial power and new county staff of officers was formed. The old report kept by the proT labsburg county was finished at the end of 1703, and there is no report preserved about the activities of this county, or at least they have not been found up to now. There is only a part of the reports of the "kuruc" county, got into our archive from the period between November 1705 and September 1710. Following this the sequence of reports is unbroken írom 1715 to 1787 with the exception of the lost issues of 1783-1784. Joseph II suspended the county authority in 1787 and they could continue their operations only after 1790, after the emperor's death. This way the sequence of reports is complete to 1848. The convention writings are in close connection with the reports. The material from before the end of the 17 th century is quite incomplete. In our reviewer there are only the topics that have significant informauat tion regarding the era, and the researchers are mostly interested in being detailed out in 14 divisions. They are namely the administrative writings (acta politica miscellanea antiqua - írom 1446 but effectively from 1589 to 1783, the old copyholding writings (acta urbarialia antiqua from the years of 1768-1783), the old writings of nobility (acta nobilitaria antiqua - 1344-1924), the old legal writings (acta iudicialia antiqua 1589-1786), and finally from the collections of different national and municipional registers (1622-1848). The administrative writings provide us with a lot of data regarding political-, economic- and social life, and cultural conditions. The old copyholding writings contain the ninepoint reports regarding the settlements; and the old legal writings Gödöüő e'i .Szadii ítö?ötti határkiiga^ítóí (1667) Gren^berichagung íwischen Göriöllő tmd Sjada (1667) Borderline re-arrangement between Gödöllő and Szada (1667) 163
