I. Az OSZK 1968-1969-ben - Az Országos Széchényi Könyvtár 1968—1969. évi működése - Report on the activity of the National Széchényi Library in 1968—1969

Srpska Novi Sad on the basis of interstate cultural agreements. Working relations were maintained with the Matica Slovenska Martin. Several of the collaborators of our library visited foreign libraries partly in the frame of cultural exchange agreements and with scholarships partly officially. Our library was represented on the conferences of the national libraries of the socialist countries in Prague (1968) and in Gera (1969) by dr. Géza Sebestyén Deputy Director. In December 1969 our library organized an international conference to the discussion of the questions concerning the equipments of great libraries. In the conference the representatives of the national libraries from the socialist countries participated. The possibilities given by the new economic mechanism assured up to date and more efficient solution in the management of the library. The number of renewals in the building of the library is considerable. The experts of our library regularly participated in the works of planning and execution of our new building in the Castle of Budavár. 52
