Collection, Theater Collection) will be situated under the big reading room, on the first loor above the main entrance. As for the placement of the special collections, it should be mentioned that the Manuscript Department and the Department of Old and Rare Prints, just as the Theater History Collection and the Music Collection will have common reading rooms. A fur­ther, topographical characteristic is that from the four corners of the large central showroom the reading rooms of the four special collections will open. Entering, the reader gets at first to the large catalogue room then to the reading room fitted with single research tables, rich reference library and on the galleries confortable research places too. Next to each reading room separate reference and typing rooms are at the readers' service. The planning provides for microfilm and microcard reading facilities too. The reading rooms and stores are air conditioned and automatic fire and burglar alarm» are at hand. Under the level of the special collections, i. e. on the same level with the main entrance is the Small Prints Room. It has a four storey separate storage joining to the Northern storage tower from the East. The reading room is on top of the store building just as in case of the big reading room. The four storeys of the storage are connected with the reading room by an express elevator. The premises of the special collections are situated in the Northern and Southern wings of the building.
