Empirical correlation of the length (MARTIN 1 size) of long bones, females Figs 1 and 2 show two important things. The one is that there is a linear correlation between the length of the thigh-bone and that of the other long bones (i.e. the longer the femur, the longer the other postcranial bones). The other is that incidental effects resulting from the lower number of elements in case of extreme values 'wimple' the curve.
