Sziráki, Gy.: Presence of the subgenus Xeroconiopteryx Meinander, 1972 in Hungary (Neuroptera: Coniopterygidae)
MEINADER, 1971 (C. aegyptiaca group) are reported only from the Iberian Peninsula within this territory, while the holomediterranean C. (X) loipetsederi ASPÖCK, 1963 (C. loipetsederi group) occurs in a large part of South Europe, ranging from Portugal to the southern part of Romania (ASPÖCK et al. 2001), and was discovered also in Slovakia (VlDLICKA 1995). The two Xeroconiopteryx species reported in the present paper in Hungary belong to two other species groups, which earlier were unknown in Europe. Because of the peculiar structure of male genitalia, C. (X.) kinali sp. n. belongs to the hitherto monotypic C. mongolica group. The species C. (X.) mongolica was described from the Middle Gobi aimak, Mongolia (MEINANDER 1969). Figs 10-13. Coniopteryx (Xeroconiopteryx) platyarcus SZIRÁKI et VAN HARTEN, 2006: 10 = male terminalia, lateral view, 11 = hypandrium, ventral view, 12 = male internal genitalia, ventral view, 13 = dorsal part of male terminalia, dorsal view, c = caudal projection of gonarcus, i = internal projection of gonarcus. Scale for Figs 10-11 and 13 = 0.07 mm, for Fig. 12 = 0.035 mm
