Kontschán, J.: Two species of Julolaelaps Berlese, 1916 (Acari: Mesostigmata: Laelapidae) associated with millipedes from Kenya

Material examined - Holotype: female, "Kenya, near village Kilifi, from large Spirostreptida millipedes, S 3°37.47'; E 39°50.30'; 11.03. 2001. leg. J. KONTSCHÁN & G. GERE". Etymology - This species is named after the village Kilifi, where the specimens were collected. Remarks - The new species is similar to Julolaelaps lucator BERLESE, 1916, but the metapodal shield of the new species is triangular, while that of Julolaelaps locator is oval. * Acknowledgements - I am grateful to Dr. ZOLTÁN KORSÓS, curator of the Myriapoda collec­tion of the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest) for identification of Spirostreptida milli­pedes.
