Papp, J.: Eleven new Eubazus Nees species from the Neotropical region (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Brachistinae)
Remarks - Considering their sculptured second (and third) tergite(s), sharply creased meeting of second dorso- and laterotergite, Eubazus (Allodorus) mexicanus (CRESSON) is nearest to E. (A.) thoracicus (ASHMEAD), the two species are distinguished by the following features: 1 (2) Propodeum areolated anteriorly and rugulose posteriorly (Fig. 122). Pterostigma issuing r clearly distally from its middle (Fig. 125). Second tergite striated medially (Fig. 129). Mesoscutum in lateral view joining less perpendicularly over pronotum (Fig. 121). Mesosoma testaceous, propodeum and metapleuron brown to dark brown. $ : 6 mm E. (A.) thoracicus (ASHMEAD) 2(1) Propodeum scabrous and without areolation (Fig. 87). Pterostigma issuing r somewhat distally from its middle (Fig. 90). Second and third tergite with strong striation like first tergite (Fig. 93). Mesoscutum in lateral view joining perpendicularly over pronotum (Fig. 86, arrow indicates mesoscutum). Mesosoma black. S- 5 mm E. (A.) mexicanus (CRESSON) Considering their common features as (1) unusually high mesoscutum over pronotum and (2) fully black corporal colour, Eubazus (A.) mexicanus is also near Figs 84-93. Eubazus mexicanus (CRESSON, 1872): 84 = head in dorsal view, 85 = clypeus, 86 = outline of pronotum and anterior part of mesoscutum in lateral view, 87 = propodeum, 88 = hind femur, 89 = claw, 90 = distal part of right fore wing, 91 = first discal cell of fore wing, 92 = subbasal cell of hind wing, 93 = first tergite
