gite smooth. T3-T6 reticulate-coriaceous over most of surface, with some superficially implanted fine hairs. Material examined - Holotype female: Mongolia, Chövsgöl aimak, 4 km NW of Mörön, 1500 m, 19.VII.1968. Remarks - Characterised by the striated T2 which is almost always smooth in Synopeas spp. Synopeas subtilis sp. n. (Figs 83-87) Female - Length 1.3-1.5 mm. Black, antennae and legs dark brown; trochanters, both ends of fore and mid tibiae, basal half of hind tibia, and segments \-A of all tarsi yellowish brown. Head from above (Fig. 83) 2.0 x as wide as long, very slightly wider than mesosoma, almost uniformly and finely, distinctly reticulate-coriaceous, without transverse elements; occiput evenly rounded, without carina; OOL 2.0 x diameter of lateral ocellus; OOL and LOL about equal. Head in frontal view 1.25 x as wide as high; antenna (Fig. 84) with Al 0.75 x as long as height of head.
