Platygaster Idemades WALKER, 1835 Material examined - 1 female, Cojbalsan aimak, 20 km SW of Somon Bajan-uul, 820 m, 18.VIII.1965. Platygaster gaia sp. n. (Figs 33-36) Female - Length 1.7-2.4 mm.. Black, antennae and legs hardly lighter; boths ends of all tibiae, and all tarsi, dark reddish brown. Head from above (Fig. 33) 2.1 x as wide as long, 1.1 x as wide as mesosoma; occiput transversely reticulate-coriaceous and with some distinct transverse wrinkles; vertex reticulate-coriaceous; frons more superficially, transversely reticulate, medially almost smooth. OOL = 1.4 LOL. Head in frontal view fully one and a third times as wide as high; antenna (Fig. 34) with A 1 0.8 x as long as height of head; A9 2.0 x as long as wide. Mesosoma hardly 1.4 x as long as wide, 1.1 x as high as wide. Sides of pronotum finely reticulate-coriaceous in upper and anterior half, rest smooth. Mesoscutum with a few hairs along notauli which are complete and deep, disc distinctly reticulate-coriaceous, longitudinally so in posterior half of mid lobe, lateral lobes smooth in outer half; mid lobe touching base of scutellum in a fine point; scuto-scutellar grooves almost bare. Mesopleuron smooth. Scutellum (Fig. 35) weakly reticulate-coriaceous, sparsely hairy. Metapleuron with pilosity all over. Propodeal carinae parallel; area between them about as long as wide, smooth and shiny. Fore wing reaching to middle of T6, 2.4 x as long as wide, almost clear and with dense microtrichia; marginal cilia short. Hind wing 4.8 x as long as wide, with two hamuli; marginal cilia hardly 0.2 width of wing. Metasoma (Fig. 36) 1.5 x as long as head and mesosoma combined, hardly as wide as mesosoma. Tl with two strong longitudinal keels and a weaker one between them. T2 striated in basal foveae to half of length, medially slightly shorter, rest of tergite smooth. T3 almost smooth; T4-T5 laterally with weak microsculpture, longitudinal on T5; T6 smooth, with brownish tint. Apical tergites with a few superficially implanted hairs, weakly convex, T5 2.4 x as wide as high. Sternite 2 with a distinct hump anteriorly.
