Remarks - On the basis of the habitus, the number and form of the notogastral setae, the new species well ranged into the genus Austrocarabodes HAMMER, 1966 (see MAHUNKA 1986). It is well distinguishable from all known species by the extremely wide habitus, by the form of the sensilli and especially by the smooth fields around the insertions of notogastral setae. Etymology - It is named after the notogastral sculpture. Figs 1-6.
