eral lobes (Fig. 1 :g in QuiCKE 1985: 118). Scape, face, oral organs and tergites less setose. Third tergite with a distinctly raised, striate, midbasal field produced posteriorly in a mid-longitudinal ridge (Fig. l:a in QuiCKE 1985: 1 18). Median flagellomeres approximately as wide as long. Paxillibracon QuiCKE 2(1) Fore wing: I-SR-M almost straight (see perpendicular arrow), cu-a interstital (Fig. 1 17. see horizontal arrow); 3—CU1 not thickened and as long as CUlb (Fig. 1 18). Notauli distinct, middle lobe of mesonotum less produced in front of lateral lobes (Fig. 119). Scapus, face, oral organs and tergites fairly densely setose (Figs 120, 124). Third tergite with a very weak, rather indistinct carina (Fig. 122). Median flagellomeres subcubic, i.e. slightly though distinctly longer than broad (Fig. 121 ) Quickeos gen. n. Etymology - The new genus, Quickeos gen. n.. is dedicated to Dr. DONALD L. J. QuiCKE (Ascot), eminent specialist of the tropical genera of the subfamily Braconinae who first recognized the new generic status of Atanycolus luteus. - Gender masculine. Type species - Atanycolus luteus SZEPLIGETI, 1901 (monotypic and original designation). Taxonomic note - Disregarding the distinctive features expounded before in the key the new genus, Quickeos gen. n., matches in further respects with its nearest ally Paxillibracon QUICKE (cf. QUICKE 1985: 117-118). Quickeos luteus (SZEPLIGETI) comb. n. (Figs 117-129) Atanycolus luteus SZEPLIGETI, 1901: Természetr. Fiiz. 24: 362 Ç (syntype series: 1 ?), type locality: "Molukken" (Indonesia), holotype (designated by PAPP 1968) in Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; examined. - QuiCKE 1991: 170. Ipobracon luteus (SZEPLIGETI): SZEPLIGETI 1906: Annls Mus. Natn. Hung. 4: 563 (in key , comb, n.). SHENEFELT 1978: 1824 (literature up to 1906). Material examined (1 Ç) - Holotype Ç: "Molukken, Indonesia". Redescription of the female holotype - Body 16 mm, fore wing 16 mm, ovipositor sheath 23 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 123) cubic, 1.36 times as broad as long, eye as long as temple, temple widely rounded. Antennae damaged, right antenna with 24 and left antenna with 56 antennomeres. Scape (Fig. 124) apically expanding, apico-laterally cmarginate and with a ledge, just longer dorsally than ventrally; pedicel short. First flagellomere almost twice as long as broad apically, further flagellomeres shortening so that median flagellomeres subcubic, i.e. slightly longer than broad. Frons moderately deepened and with a narrow mid-longitudinal sulcus. Ocelli round and near to each other, POL : OD : OOL as 3 : 4 : 18. Dorsal margin of hypoclypeal depression and clypeus with transverse carina. Distance between tentorial pits equal to shortest distance between pit and eye. Eye in lateral view nearly round, 1.4 times as high as wide. Face and clypeus rugose, otherwise head polished. Face, oral organs, scapus, temple and head above fairly densely setose (Fig. 120, 124).
