NOTES ON VARIOUS SPECIES OF HYDROCHUS Corrigenda. I would like to make one correction: Hydrochus chitraae MAKHAN, 1994 should read Hydrochus chitrae. Synonymies. The following new synonymies are proposed: Hydrochus coeneni MAKHAN, 1992 = Hydrochus orchymonti OLIVA, 1996, syn. n. Hydrochus dewnaraini MAKHAN, 1992 = Hydrochus cristatus OLIVA, 1996, syn. n. Hydrochus granulatus BLATCHLEY, 1910 = Hydrochus studiosorum OLIVA, 1996, syn. n. Hydrochus merkli MAKHAN, 1994 = Hydrochus multicostatus OLIVA, 1996, syn. n. Hydrochus purpureas KNISCH, 1920 = Hydrochus pseudosecretus, OLIVA, 1996, syn. n. Genitalia of the holotypes. Hydrochus piroei MAKHAN, 1992 (Fig. 19): the páraméra are narrow and the lateral side of the basal piece is not straight. Hydrochus merkli MAKHAN, 1993 (Fig. 20): the páraméra are sagittate and the median lobe is straight. Hydrochus pumilio KNISCH, 1920 (Fig. 21): the lateral side in median lobe with sclerite. Hydrochus radhakisunae MAKHAN, 1994 (Fig. 22): the medial part in median lobe with a C-shaped sclerite. Hydrochus rattanae MAKHAN, 1992 (Fig. 23): the median lobe is transparent. 21 22 23 Figs 21-23.
