EXOTHECINAE Acanthormius bakeri WATANABE, 1968 On my request Dr. P. M. MARSH (Washington) was kind enough to send me the female holotype of A. bakeri for examination. The holotype and the female specimen from India reported by me (PAPP 1986: 344) deviate from each other which I consider as an infraspecific variability of the species in view of its supposed wide distribution in the Oriental Region (the holotype Ç origines from Luzon Island, Philippines, my female was taken in Tamil Nadu, South India, further localities unknown). The deviating characters are summarized as follows: Holotype Ç from the Philippines: 1. Head in dorsal view a bit more transverse, 2.05 times as broad as long; temple slightly more constricted (Fig. 1). 2. Antennae damaged, right antenna with 11 and left antenna with 9 antennomeres; first flagellomere seven times, ninth six times as long as broad. Flagellomeres 1-3 darkening yellow to brown, further ones dark brown. 3. Mesonotum weekly shagreened, subshiny. 4. First tergite 1.15 times as long as broad behind; tergites 2-3 rerlatively more transverse, second tergite 1.7 times and third tergite 1.61 times as broad (behind and basally, respectively) as long (Fig. 3). 5. Head yellow, meso- and metasoma testaceous, mesonotum and scutellum yellowish. Legs straw yellow. 6. Length 1.8 mm. Female specimen from India: 1. Head in dorsal view a bit less transverse, 1.95 times as broad as long; temple slightly less constricted (Fig. 2). 2. Antenna with 19 antennomeres; first flagellomere eight times, ninth six times and penultimate (or sixteenth) flagellomere five times as long as broad. Flagellomeres 1-4 darkening yellow to brown, 5-8 dark brown, 9-10 light brown, 11-13 whitish, 14-17 yellowish. 3. Mesonotum shagreened, dull.
