C. dilatus sp. n. o* 1. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 1) transverse, 1.73 times as broad as long, temple rounded. 2. First tergite wide in its shape (Fig. 2), 1.68 times as long as broad at its hind end, up to spiracles broadening, beyond spiracles with parallel sides. 3. Lower half of mesopleuron polished. 4. Antenna with 28 flagellomeres. 5. Pronope absent. 6. Body 3.1 mm long. C. cuspidatus (HALIDAY) <Î 1. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 3) less transverse, 1.6-1.65 times as broad as long, temple strongly rounded. 2. First tergite less wide in its shape (Fig. 4), 1.5 times as long as broad at its hind end, evenly broadening posteriorly. 3. Lower half of mesopleuron shagreened. 4. Antenna with 22 flagellomeres. 5. Pronope present. 6. Body 2.1-2.3 mm long. Centistes splendidus sp. n $ (Figs 7-11) Description of the holotype 9 - Body 2 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 7) subcubic, 1.55 times as broad as long, head close behind eye between temples almost as broad as between eyes, hind part of temple rounded. Occiput weakly excavated and fully carinated. Ocelli small and elliptic in form, distance between fore and a hind ocellus equal with greatest diameter of an ocellus, POL a bit longer than OOL. Eye in lateral view twice as high as wide, eye and temple of equal width. Face subquadratic, somewhat wider than high, inner margin of eyes slightly convergent. Clypeus twice wider below than high medially, its lower margin convex. Pair of tentorial pits nearer to eye than to each other. Malar space as long as basal width of mandible. Head polished, face with fine hairpunctures and shiny. - Antenna somewhat longer than body, with 26 antennomeres. First flagellomere distincly three times as long as broad, further flagellomeres gradually shortening and distally slightly thickening so that penultimate five flagellomeres (or flagellomeres 19-23) cubic. Last flagellomere pointed. Mesosoma in lateral view 1.4 times as long as high. Pronope present, deep. Notaulix short and restricted to declivous part of mesonotum, disc of mesonotum with a very weak pit almost medially. Prescutellar furrow with five crenulae. Propodeum with a medio-transverse carina, along medio-longitudinal line sculptured (Fig. 8). Sternaulix somewhat S-like and almost as long as width of mesopleuron, finely crenulated. Mesosoma polished; mesopleuron below sternaulix with fine punctures, metapleuron above and propodeum laterally subrugulose to uneven. -Legs thin. Hind femur 5.3 times as long as broad (Fig. 9). Hind tibia just longer than hind tarsus, hind basitarsus as long as tarsal segments 2-3. Fore wing somewhat longer than body. Venation of wings similar to that of C. cuspidatus (HALIDAY). Pterostigma 3.3 times as long as wide, issuing radial vein distally from its middle; rl short, r2 weakly arched and ending near to tip of wing. Form of first discoidal cell as in Fig. 10, n. bas. twice as long as n. rec, dl as long as nervellus. Metasoma about as long as mesosoma. First tergite (Fig. 11) one-third longer than broad at its hind end, almost evenly broadening posteriorly, its pair of spiracles at middle of tergite. Pair of feebly converging keels reaching hind half of tergite. First tergite smooth, medially with little longitudinal rugulae, further tergites polished. Suture between tergites 2-3 absent, i.e. tergites 2-3 fused and quadratic; further tergites transverse. - Ovipositor sheath as long as hind basitarsus. Ground colour of body black with little brownish suffusion laterally on pronotum and epicnemium of mesopleuron. Clypeus yellowish brown. Labrum and palpi straw yellow. Flagellum dark, space, pedicel and first flagellomere yellow. Legs lemon yellow, tarsi and hind tibia brownish. Tegula brown, parategula yellow. Wings hyaline, pterostigma and veins light brownish. Description of the two female paratypes - Body 2 mm long (1 9, head of the second female absent). In all respects similar to the holotype. Antenna with 27 antennomeres. o* and host unknown. Type material - Holotype and 1 9 paratype (head absent): India, West Bengal, Darjeeling district, Debrapani, 1700 m, 30 May 1980 (holotype, No. 434) and 31 May 1980 (paratype. No. 438), leg. GY. TÖPÁL. - 1 9 paratype: India, Karnataka, Shimoga district, Jog Falls, 500 m, UV-lamp, 2 March 1980, leg. GY. TOPÁL (NO. 167).
