(Fig. 4), striation of third tergite posteriorly weakening and (medially) disappearing. Ovipositor sheath half as long as hind tibia. Body and antenna yellow with light brownish flushes (of sutures). Palpi whitish, legs pale yellow. Wings subhyaline, pterostigma opaque brownish with a faint yellow basal spot. <J and host unknown. Type material - Holotype ? : Yemen, Taiz, Wadi Zabid, Jury 1970, leg. A. SZALAY-MARZSÓ. Holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 7349. Etymology - The species name "descrticola" refers to the desert nature of the locality in Yemen. The new species is nearest to A. unicolor (ASHMEAD, 1905), their distinction see in the key for the Aulosaphes species, p. ooo. Figs 1-6. Head in dorsal view 1.66 times as broad as long, eye one-third longer than temple, latter rounded (Fig. 7). Ocelli near to each other, POL a bit shorter than greatest diameter of a hind ocellus, OOL four times as long as POL. Malar space as long as basal width of mandible. In lateral view temple evenly broad behind eye, eye one-third wider than temple. In frontal view face 2.36 times as wide as eye. Head shiny, face uneven with a few wrinkles, frons with transverse and fine striation, vertex, temple and occiput smooth. -Antenna shorter than body, with 20 flagellomeres. First flagellomere three times as long as apically broad, further flagellomeres gradually attenuating so that penultimate flagellomere 2.66 times as long as broad. - Mesosoma in lateral view twice as long as high. Mesonotum and scutellum polished, median lobe of mesonotum with a longitudinal sulcus, notaulices evenly deep and posteriorly between them surface with wrinkles.
