The interorbital distance is wide in each cases. The orbits of the Chinese finds is not "D"-shaped but square with rounded corners. Similarly to Rudapithecus the face of Sivapithecus lufengensis is also short and its maxillary arch is "U" shaped. Accordingly, there is a great morphological similarity between skulls of the Chinese female Sivapithecus (formerly Ramapithecus) and Rudapithecus. Due to the great geographical
