Remarks — This very characteristic genus comprises 3 species; the first is from the Philippines, the second is from the Moluccas and the third occurs in New Guinea and Australia. Birolagria is synonymized without question. Acerogria oriunda BORCHMANN, (1924) (Figs 1-3, 81, 92-93) Cerogria oriunda BORCHMANN, 1924, p. 62. — Cerogria oriunda: BORCHMANN, 1930, p. 428, 429. — Acerogria oriunda : BORCHMANN, 1936, p. 138. Birolagria cicatricosa Pic, 1956, p. 86, syn. n. Body elongate, slender (rf) or much broader ($). Elytra fulvous, the rest of body unicolorous dark brown to black, head and pronotum tinged with steel blue, shining. Dorsal surface covered with short, sparse, semierect, black pubescence. — Length 9.5-13.0 mm. rf • H e a d sparsely and moderately coarsely punctate, with irregular impressions and smooth areas. Interocular distance less than twice as broad as eye diameter (IOI = 187). — Antennái segment I longer than half of interantennal distance (IAI = 59.5). Relative lengths of segments VI to XI are 12: 10: 10: 11: 10: 70, i. e. last segment much longer than 5 preceding combined (nearly as long as 7 preceding). — Pronotum fairly transverse (PNI = 71.4), surface practically impunctate, slightly alutaceous, with oblique and longitudinal impressions. — Scutellum conspicuously large, rounded triangular. — Elytra elongate, sides weakly arched, finely and not densely punctate, interspaces barely plicate, weakly shining. — Legs with femora and tibiae wide, strongly flattened dorsoventrally ; femora with outer margin sharply edged; tibiae weakly twisted, with outer margin sharply, inner margin bluntly edged. — Aedeagus as figured (Figs 2-3). — Habitus. Fig. 92 9. Size larger on average, shape broader. Head largely impunctate. Eyes smaller, interocular distance more than twice as broad as eye diameter (IOI = 231). Antenna! segment I shorter than half Figs 1-3. Acerogria oriunda (BORCHMANN): 1 = antenna rf, 2 — aedeagus ventral view, 3 = aedeagus, right lateral viev. — Figs 4-6. Xenolagria tincta (BLACKBURN): 4 = outline of head and right antenna rf, 5 — aedeagus, ventral view, 6 = aedeagus, right lateral view. — Scale bar 1 mm
