Caries. Status post fracturam on nasal bone. Extensive arthritis deformans on cervical vertebrae. Eburneation of the C 3 facies articularis inferior and C 4 facies articularis superior. Spondylosis. Grave 25 — Moderately well preserved, deformed skull of a 7-9 years old child. Shallow impressio prebregmaticum, wide but insufficient impressio postbregmaticum. Wide, less prominent tuberculum prebregmaticum. Large-sized tubera parietalia (Plate 2: 3-4). Well visible impressio above sutura squamosa, near sutura lambdoidea. Post-mortem deformed occiput and left parietal bone. Sutura metopica. Both sides of os epiptericum. Os apicis. Wormien bones in right sutura lambdoidea and sutura coronalis. Well-preserved skeletal bones. Grave 26 — Deformed juvenile cranium. Basic part missing. Well discernible tubera frontalia, impressio pre- and postbregmaticum. Large-sized tubera parietalia, below them shallow but wide impressio. Flat obelion zone, rounded occiput. Post-mortem deformed parietal and occipital bones. Moderately well preserved, incomplete skeletal bones. Grave 27 — Moderately well preserved, destorted skull of a 5-7 years old child. Well discernible tubera frontalia and impressio prebregmaticum. Very large and wide tuberculum prebregmaticum. Impressio caused by destorting band below tubera parietalia. Wormien bones on right part of sutura lambdoidea (left part missing). Absolute measurements of neurocranium very large (Plate 3: 1-2). Hydrocephalic (?). Incomplete skeletal bones. Grave 28 — Moderately well preserved, deformed skull of a juvenile/adult female with mandible. M 3 missing, proximal epiphyses of humeri, distal epiphyses of femoris and ulnae not yet ossified. Ossified synchondrosis sphenoccipitalis. Moderately developed tubera frontalia, wide impressio prebregmaticum, wide, deep impressio postbregmaticum. Very large and broad tuberculum prebregmaticum. Large-sized tubera parietalia (Plate 3: 3-4). Well discernible impressio at convergence of sutura squamosa and sutura lambdoidea. Flat obelion region, rounded occiput. Wormien bones in sutura lambdoidea dextra. Sutura metopica. Well-preserved skeletal bones. Grave 29 — Os frontale and parietale fragments of a child younger than 6 months old. Traces of destortion cannot be seen, but post-mortem strongly deformed. Incomplete skeletal bones. Grave 30 — Undeformed calotte of a 7-9 years old child. Post-mortem strongly deformed. Fragmentary, incomplete skeletal bones. Grave 31 — Undeformed grown-up (adultus) male calotte fragment with mandible. Less incomplete, badly preserved skeletal bones. Spondylosis. General anthropological analysis Based on all anthropological material suitable for study from the excavated 31 graves we can establish the following. Brain case of males and females medium long and wide (males), and those of undeformed females narrow. On the basis of average values high those from Grave 8 and 14 low. Meso-
