Bolitobius MANNERHEIM Bolitobiiis MANNERHEIM, Brachel, 1830, p. 11. Bolitobius bicoloratus sp. n. In colouration of the elytra this species is similar to B. pallidiceps SHARP, (from Japan) but the antennae are shorter with the last six segments strongly transverse, the elytra shorter and broader and the suturai and humeral rows of punctures are fewer in number. It is similar to B. dimidiatus ER., (from N. America) in structure of the antennae and in the markings of the elytra, but differs in having the base of the elytra not so brightly coloured and the black posterior half extends to the scutellum; the tergites are completely black and not so strongly punctured. Head, pronotum, posterior half of elytra and abdomen black, on the elytra the black extending along the suture to the scutellum; palpi, antennae (segments seven to ten a little darker), legs (posterior femora and tibiae darker) red, basal half of elytra pale yellow but this scarcely extending to the suture. — Head transverse (2.5 : 1.5) shining, impunctate. without microsculpture; eyes not convex, their longitudinal diameter twice the length of the temples; antennae with second segment half the length of the first, third segment longer than the second, but shorter than the first; fourth segment about as long as the second, fifth as broad as long, sixth to tenth strongly transverse and gradually broadening, last segment narrower but a little longer than the penultimate, finely setose. — Pronotum transverse (5 : 3.5) with one or two isolated punctures along anterior margin, and others laterally and along the posterior margin; shining, without microsculpture, very convex, lateral and posterior margins form a semicircle without indications of the posterior corners. — Elytra transverse (6:5) shining, without microsculpture, with a suturai row of about four punctures, a humeral row of about six and a lateral row of nine or ten from which are short black bristles ; suture broadly bordered. — Abdomen with third and middle of fourth tergite impunctate, elsewhere with elongate punctures and moderately long pubescence; strongly narrowed to the apex. — Legs spinose especially tibiae. — Length 5 mm. Holotype unique: Okapa, July 1965, in the British Museum (Natural History). Stilicoderus SHARP Stilicoderus SHARP, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist, 1889, (6) 3: 320. Stilicoderus kiloloensis sp. n. This species differs from S. nubilus LAST i.l. in having the basal third of the elytra black and a marked difference in the structure of the aedeagus. Black, except apical two thirds of the elytra which are reddish-yellow. — Head transverse, orbicular, dull, extremely finely reticulate seen by high magnification, temples rounded, with a number of porrect bristles; from above the eyes are shorter than the length of the temples. Labrum tridentate in the centre, median tooth keeled to the base; antennae with segments longer than broad, third segment half the length of the first, third segment longer than the second, each segment then slightly shorter than the previous, last segment acuminate, all segments narrower at the base of each, with apical setae. — Pronotum as broad as long, broadest at anterior third, strongly converging to the "neck", dull, with the same extremely fine reticulation as on the head, with long lateral bristles, narrowly margined for posterior third extending along posterior margin. — Elytra as long as broad, parallel-sided, dull without microsculpture, with sparse irregular punctures, and a few long bristles from the "shoulders". — Abdomen very finely punctured and pubescent, dull. — Legs
