Vörös, A.: Some new genera of Brachiopoda from the Mediterranean Jurassic
of Lokutella. This lineage can perhaps be extrapolated back to the Paleozoic (e.g. to the Devonian Rhynchotretina). Distribution : Upper Sinemurian and Pliensbachian of the Mediterranean Region (Sicily, Appennines, Southern Alps. Hungary). Lokutella kondai sp. n. (Fig. 3) ? 1900: Rhynchonellapalmata OPP. — BÖSE & SCHLOSSER. Südtyrol. (pars), p. 194. pl. XVIII, fig. 10, 10a-b (non fig. 11). Holotype: Hung. Nat. Hist. Mus.. Palaeont. Dept., M. 82. 1. (Fig. 3a-c). — Locus typicus: Bakonyszücs, Kőris-hegy (near to Bakonybél).— Stratum typicum: Pliensbachian crinoidal-brachiopodal limestone (Davoei Zone). Derivatio nominis: after the name of DR. J. KONDA, former director of the Hungarian Geological Institute. Diagnosis : Medium sized Lokutella. subtrigonal in outline with expanded anterior and diverging lateral margins. Valves equally but variably convex. Planareas deep. Five to seven ribs develop at about mid-length becoming quickly very strong. Anterior commissure straight with strong deflections. Material: 51, partly incomplete specimens.
