Mineo, G.: Studies on the Scelionidae (Hymenoptera) XIX. A revision of the Ethiopian species of Gryon Haliday: the pubescens-group

Ethology. — The egg-shell from which the adult emerges has no peculiar colouration: the emergence hole is in a posterior position. Variability. — Among the paratypes no remarkable differences have been found apart from a slightly darker colouration of the legs, strigosities on the hind quarter of the mesoscutum and some fine central wrinkles on the extreme base of T2. Remarks. — The sculpture of the frontal depression and the "sunken area" surrounding the anterior edge of the anterior ocellus* of G. kelnerpillaulti sp. n. make it a close relative to G. mirperusi; though it mainly differs from the latter by the absence of rugulae on T2 and 73. This species is named in honour of Mlle S. Kelner-Pillault (Paris). Gryon mirperusi (RISBEC) 9 0 * (Figs 5, 15, 17, 21, 35-36) Hadronotus mirperusiRISBEC, 1950. Trav. Lab. Ent. Sec. RISBEC'S original description is rather more sufficient to recognize this species and researchers may refer to it. Nevertheless, I would like to add the following characters for the female. Head from above 3.8 times wider than long (38.5: 10); ios = 18; POL, OOL ratio as 11.2: 2.8; lXb as 19X 17; mi = 9.5 (see also Figs 5, 17-21, 35-36). d.
