Papp, J.: Taxonomical and faunistical novelties of the Opiinae in the Arctogaea (Hymenoptera, Braconidae)

Localities- 1 çf: USSR, Armenia, Djrvezh, 1200 m, 15 July 1977, No. 95, leg. L. ZOMBORI. - 1 9 : USSR, Georgia, Noa, Kodori stream, 25 May 1975, leg. L. ZOMBORI. Opius (Phaedrotoma) gafsaensis FISCHER, 1964 — Hitherto known only on the basis of the female holotype from Tunisia. My single female from Turkey agrees with the holotype. Antenna with 17 joints (that of the holotype with 16 joints).—Holotype is deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 5276. Locality— 1 9 : Turkey, Adana, 5 August 1975, leg. BEYARSLAN. Opius (Apodesmia) imitabilis TELENGA, 1950 — Malar space somewhat longer than basal width of mandible. N. rec. antefurcal, r2 one-third to one-fifth longer than cuqul. Antenna with 31-35 joints. Hind margin of mesopleuron distinctly crenulated, a subgeneric feature of Apodesmia FÖRSTER though FISCHER (1972) assigned O. imitabilis to the subgenus Aulonotus ASHMEAD.— Described from Soviet Middle Asia (Gusar), and so far no further distributional datum was published. New to the fauna of Jordan and Iraq. Localities— 1 9 • East Jordan, Wadi Shaib, 100 m, 13 April 1956, leg. J. KLAPPERICH.- 1 9 : Jordan, Jericho, 250 m below sea level, 26 February 1958, leg. J. Klapperich. — 2 9 : Jordan, Jordan valley, East Dead Sea, 350 m below sea level, 4 April 1958, leg. J. KLAPPERICH.— 1 9 ( in Instytut Zoologii, Warszawa): Iraq, Baghdad, 27 March 1961. leg. RIEDEL.— 3 .çf (2 çf in Instytut Zoologii, Warszawa) : Iraq, Clesiphon near Baghdad, 2 April 1961, leg. RIEDEL. Opius (Cryptonastes) impatientis FISCHER, 1957 — So far known in Central Europe from several countries (North Italy, Austria, CSSR, Poland and Hungary). New to the fauna of Armenia (USSR).-The two Armenian specimens are quite similar to the representatives of his stpecies from Hungary. Antenna with 24 and 26 joints (2 9 )> respectively. Locality- 2 9 : USSR, Armenia, Dilizhan, 1400 m, 6 June 1980, No. 149, leg. J. PAPP. Opius (Hypocynodus) larissa FISCHER, 1968 — It seems a widely distributed species in the Palaearctic Region though hitherto its listed localities are rather sporadic. Described by FISCHER from Mongolia on the basis of the female holotype. I reported its occurence in Hungary (1 9 > PAPP 1979a) and Korea (5 9 +2cf, PAPP 1981b); I have specimens (3 9) from Greece too. New to the fauna of Afghanistan. —The single female from Afghanistan represents the dark form: head and thorax black, metasoma blackish, tergite 1 dark reddish, tergite 2 and fore half of tergite 3 reddish yellow. Antenna with 24 joints. Locality- 1 9 : Afghanistan, Prov, Kabul, Bini Hesar, 6 km SE from Kabul, 1820 m, 12 May 1974, No. 92*, leg. L. PAPP. Opius (Opius) mendus sp. n. 9 > see P- 248. Opius (Opiothorax) mirabilis FISCHER, 1958 — Observed and reported in France, Austria, Hungary, Romania (Transylvania), Yugoslavia and recently in Tunisia (PAPP 1979b). New to the fauna of Armenia (USSR).—Antenna with 22 joints. r2 1.5 times as long as cuqul, r3> approaching tip of wing (in the Hungarian specimens together with the type-specimens rl only 1.2-1.3 times longer). - The male allotype and two female paratypes are housed in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 5269 (allotype) and 5270-5271 (paratypes). Locality- 1 9 : USSR, Armenia, Gokht-Gueghard, R. Azat, 1000 m, 9 July 1977, leg. L. ZOMBORI. Opius (Misophthora) moniiicornis FISCHER, 1962 — My female specimen was compared with the holotype deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 5275. First tergite 1.15 times longer than wide at hind. In other respects agreeing with the description (FISCHER 1972).— Listed in two localities in Turkey and Algeria each. New to the fauna of Jordan. Locality— 1 9 : E ast Jordan, Amman, 800 m, 25 March 1958, leg. J. KLAPPERICH. Opius (Misophthora) monticola SZÉPLIGETI,, 1898 — The name monticola] SZÉPL. was re-established as representing a valid species by me (PAPP, J., 1979a). My two German females agree in all respects with the holotype. This is the first report of its occurrence besides Hungary. New to the fauna of Germany. Locality- 2 9 : Germany (GDR), Gotha, Seeberg, 19 May 1976, leg. S. TÓTH. Opius (Opiognathus) ocreatus PAPP, 1979 — First tergite compared to the holotype shorter, 1.45 times longer than wide at hind. Propodeum almost evenly rugose, transverse keel on its upper part distinct. Antenna 29 jointed. In other features agreing with the holotype.-Described from Hungary, so far not reported outside of our country. New to the fauna of Germany. *The number refers to the locality nurnbïr given by L. Papp in his itinerary to Afghanistan (PAPP, L., 1975).
