Gladkova, T. D. ; Tóth, T.: The dermatoglyphical materials of Hungarians from Gyöngyöstarján and Kisfalud
Only male series were included in the analysis. A total of thirty samples of the UgroFinnish, Slavic and other peoples have been analyzed (Table 8). As it is seen in Fig 2., the Hungarian samples are located very close to each other and stand far from the conventional zero-group: the Kazakhs. The sample from Taktabai in which we have already observed some insignificant Mongoloid admixture in dermatoglyphical traits (GLADKOVA, & TÓTH 1975). stands apart from this circle. On the contrary, the Hungarian sample from Budapest (MALÁN 1939,1940) is located particularly far from the conventional zero-group. The north-eastern group from Gyöngyöstarján is approaching the sample from Taktabai. The western group from Kisfalud stands very far from the zero-group. It is closer to the Finnish group (HIT 1969), than to the sample from Himod, though with the latter it is close territorially. In the correlation field the most remote in the "Caucasoid" direction from the zerogroup are, besides the Budapest Hungarians (MALÁN 1939, 1940), the Russians (PROKUDINA 1971), the Rumanians (VULPE 1972) and the Caucasian Avars (GADZHIEV 1962). In the left lower corner the Uzbekian Madzhars are placed which as well as Kazakhs are related to the South-Siberian anthropological type. Then follow the Bashkirs, the Ivdel Mansis, the Udmurts and the Komis — permyaks, which are characterized by traits of the Ural race mixed with Caucasoid and Mongoloid components. By their dermatoglyphical traits the Khants, as the typical representative of the Ural race, occupy a special place in this field. Fig. 2.
