Hermanniidae Sellnick, 1928 B. subordo: Euoribatida subordo n. New genera and species BRACHYCHTHONIIDAE Brachychochthonius oesziae sp. n. (Figs. 1-3) Measurements — Length: 152-164 [JL, width: 82-88 u,. Dorsal side (Fig. 1): Rostral and lateral margins of prodorsum with well visible teeth. Prodorsal surface with 3 rostral fields; medium one unpaired, broader than field-pair behind it. Interlamellar field-pairs sinuous, punctate. Prodorsal hairs about equal in length, rostral hairs slightly ciliate, other ones smooth. Sensillus (Fig. 3) fusiform, cilia arranged in rows, on both sides equal in length. Notogastral hairs varying considerably in length and width, hairs c much shorter and thinner than hairs d and e, hair e x thickest of all. Notogastral fields also sinuous, punctate; also ring sinuous. Among median field-pairs of shield Na anterior pair of first group and median pair of second group fused, therefore only 4 paired fields present. Fieldrow along hairs c x consisting of 4 distinct fields. Median field on shield Nm united. Median field-group lying in median row on shield Py with either 4 or 3 fields (Fig. 2). Material examined. — Holotype (412-HO-78): Hungary, near Nyíregyháza, wooded environs of Lake Sóstó, 27. XL 1977, leg. M. Őszi; 7Paratypes : same locality. — Holotype and 6 Paratypes (412-PB-78) in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest*, 1 Paratype in the Museum d'Historie Naturelle, Geneve**. Remarks. — The new species stands nearest to Brachychochthonius suecicus FORSSLUND, 1942, on the basis of its prodorsal and notogastral fields with punctate surfaces and sinuous margins. However, it diners from it by ciliate rostral hairs, broader and unpaired rostral field and fused notogastral field-pairs. B. suecicus has no fused field-pairs an the notogaster, whereas the fields along hairs c t are fused. Concerning the shape of the fields the new species is very similar to B. cricoides WEIS-FOGH, 1948, but in the latter the fields have smooth margins. Brachychochthonius subcricoides sp. n. (Figs. 4-6) Measurements —Length: 168-180 u., width: 92-100 [x. Dorsal side (Fig. 5): Contrarily to the preceding species, field margins weakly or hardly sinuous, their surfaces impunctate, Notogastral hairs shorter, simpler. Sensillus (Fig. 6) with minute cilia, 9 or 10 in each row. * la the fallowings: HNHM, ** MHNG
