Balogh, J. ; Mahunka, S.: New taxa in the system of the Oribatida (Acari)

Parhyposomata supercohors n. Weakly chitinized, colourless Oribatids. Mouth parts clearly seen from above. Notogaster divided into 2 parts by a transverse groove, its margins obsolete, decurrent on ventral side between either adanal and anal hairs or pseudoanal and anal ones. 16 pairs if notogastral hairs present, f x always well developed, f 2 occasionally absent. Oil glands well developed. Lyrifissures present. Paraanal plate generally present (in tropical forms absent). 1 femur, tarsi with 3 claws, middle one shorter and more curved than lateral ones. Holosomata supercohors n. A collective group of Oribatids, not satisfactorily characterizable and possibly requiring a future breakup. Body holoid, notogaster holonotic. 15 pairs of notogastral hairs if hair also well developed, notogaster with 16 pairs of hairs. Only 1 pair of exobothridial hairs present. Oil gland present, well discernible. Digastry occasionally occurring. Paraanal plate not separated. Dichosomata cohors n. Undivided holoid notogaster, without any transverse groove, Body dichoid, between legs II. and III. a weakly sclerotized region and therefore proterosoma and hysterosoma only slightly movable against each other. Anogenital region macropilic, sometimes brachypilic (this type always with pseudogastry or schizogastry). Euarthronota cohors n. Body strongly articulated, notogaster divided by 1-3 transversal grooves into 2-4 plates. 16 pairs of notogastral hairs present, but certain taxa with merely 15 or 14 pairs. Hairs d or e arising occasionally in grooves, but often represented only by their points of insertion. Hairs f x and f 2 always well developed. Notogastral hairs often modidied; in certain groups phylliform, ensiform or fungiform; plumose hairs with cilia similar to a palm-leaf or feather. In some taxa 2 or more pairs of hairs longer and more robust than the rest, rigid and movable (generally hairs e and /). Exobothridial hairs in 1 or 2 pairs present. Oil gland absent, lyrifissure iad and ian considerably reduced. Ventral plate variously shaped, mostly macropilic. Peranal plate in some taxa present, in others absent. After the introduction of the new taxa and combinations the new Oribatid system would appear as follows : SYSTEM OF ORIBATIDA A. subordo: Archoribatida subordo n. I. supercohors: PalaeosomataGrandjean, 1969 1. superfam: Archeonothroidea Grandjean, 1932 1. Archeonothridae Grandjean, 1932
