Chrysonotomyia ysmagishii sp. n. 9 (Fig. 2) 9- Body brownish yellow: pronotum medially, mid lobe of mesoscutum except anterior corners, and inner portions of side lobes, green wilh golden reflections, scutellum also with a longitudinal green area medially; propodeum with anterior margin darker laterally, and with hind margin blackish medially; first tergite darker basally; hind margins of third to fifth tergites black (forming three distinct transverse bands); last tergite darker apically. Ovipositor sheath black. Pedicel and flagellum brownish. Bristles on frontovertex black. Fore wing with a faint cloud below stigma. — Length 1.4-1.8 mm. Head a little broader than thorax, in frontal view 1.2 times as broad as high. Malar space 0.35 times breadth of oral fossa and one-fiflh as long as height of eye. Eyes prominent, covered with short hairs, separated by 0.39 times their own height at the level of frontal fork; inner orbits sinuate. Frontal fork straight, frontovertex very narrow, anteriorly 0.65 times as broad as long. Ocelli in an acute triangle; OOL half as long as diameter of lateral ocellus, which is slightly shorter than POL. Vertex, frons, and face with fine, engraved sculpture. — Antennae inserted just above level of lower marings of eyes. Scape 0.66 times as long as height of eye, a little longer than pedicel plus funicle; combined length of pedicel and flagellum a little shorter than breadth of thorax (18.5 : 21.5); pedicel fully twice as long as broad; flagellum slender, first funicle segment a little shorter and hardly broader than pedicel; the second segment equal to the first in length and breadth, sometimes slightly longer; club tapering, longer than funicle (8 : 6), with the first segment slightly narrower than, and as long as preceding segment; terminal spine long. Flagellum covered with sparse, long hairs. Thorax 1.3 to 1.5 times as long as broad. Pronotum short, very finely reticulate. Mesoscutum 1.5 to 1.7 times as broad as long; mid lobe densely and rather uniformly reticulate, with a pair of bristles; notauli restricted anteriorly, curved inwards, notaular depressions very shallow and broad. Scutellum convex, nearly as long as broad, rounded, more coarsely and weakly reticulate than mesoscutum, with a pair of black, long bristles. Dorsellum virtually smooth. Propodeum medially less than twice as long as dorsellum, smooth; callus with two hairs. Fore wing (Fig. 2) twice as long as broad, its apical margin somewhat truncate; underside of costal cell bare (one hair present on underside of submarginal vein basally); basal vein with two hairs; speculum of moderate size, closed below; cubital hair line weakly sinuate below parastigma; disc of the wing rather sparsely hairy. Marginal vein plus parastigma a little shorter than breadth of the wing; postmarginal vein about as long as stigmal vein; stigma large; radial cell large; marginal cilia shorter than stigmal vein. Hind wing not pointed at apex, cilia of hind margin at most one-third of breadth of the wing. Gastral petiole strongly transverse, smooth. Gaster usually a little longer than head plus thorax, more than 2.2 times as long as broad; first tergite almost smooth; second to fifth tergites with fine, weakly raised reticulation; last tergite pointed apically, a little shorter than broad. rf unknown.
