Kamijo, K.: Eulophidae (Hymenoptera) from Korea, with description of two new species

coarsely and strongly reticulate laterally, the first tergite is purple, and the outer surface of the fore femur has a fuscous patch distally. Further, in one specimen, the fore wing has a faint cloud below the stigmal vein, and in the other one the gaster is slender, much longer than head and thorax combined (43 : 34). I am not certain whether these two specimens are within the range of variation of S. derogatae. Distribution: Korea*, Japan. Pnigalio soemius (WALKER) Eidophus soemius WALKER, 1839, Monographia Chalciditum, 1: 170. Prov. Gang-von: 10 $, district On-dzong, Kum-gang san, along Ok-ru dong, 300-600 m, 5. VIII. 1957 (No. 317). In comparison with one female from Italy, which was kindly sent to me by DR. BOUCEK, the above Korean specimens have the propodeum with a single, rather weak hair outside each plica; hairs on the first tergite are sparser and absent medially, the dorsum of the gaster is brownish only at the base of the first tergite. In other respects they agree well with the European specimen. Distribution: Korea*, Europe. Pnigalio sp. South Pyongan: 1 $, Sa-gam, 45 km N from Pyongyan, 12. VIII. 1971 (No. 164). This species is very close to P. katonis(ISHII), from which it differs as follows: head thick, twice as broad, as long; mid lobe of mesoscutum with only few hairs; fore wing with basal cell open below; head and thorax bluish green, gaster yellowish brown with margins and last tergite darker .
