Lower part of facial plate ochreous yellow with some greyish pollen. Smallest width of genae only 1/6 of longitudinal axis of eyes. Antennae as in coxata. — Legs dark brown, mid tibia with anterodorsal bristles at 1/3 (strong), 11/15 (weak), at 5/6 (strong), posterodorsal only at 7/10 of tibia. ROHÁÖEK 1975: Fig. 5), subanal plate has a pair of very long processes (Fig. 5), this process has a strong apical spiniform bristle, gonites (postgonite) shorter than that of coxata. Male 5th sternite (Fig. 4) has a mid apical process, end of this process is truncate, 5th sternite almost without bristles on its disc. -— Female cerci with two short spines each, similar to those of coxata, supra-anal plate in two parts. Body length of holotype male: 1.45 mm, paratypes: 1.49-1.78 mm; wing-length: holotype male: 1.40 mm, paratypes: 1.41-1.84 mm, width: holotype: 0.65 mm, paratypes: 0.67-0.79 mm. Holotype male: Habarovsk krai, Pivan, 16. 8. 73, ELBERG — „ojokallas". — Paratypes : 1 9 '• data same as for holotype; 2 çf: Habarovsk krai, P. Osipenko, 29. 7. 73, ELBERG — ,,tarnasoo". The holotype and two paratypes are deposited in the Zoológia ja Botanika Instituut Tartu, one male paratype in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Leptocera (Opacifrons) elbergi sp. n. is related to L. (O.) coxata STENH. and it differs from it by its genitalia only. The male 5th sternite has a big, strong mediocaudal apex, contrarily to coxata, terminal process of subanal plate is very long (very short in coxata), the shape and armature of its surstylus are also different; the female supra-anal plate consists of two parts.
