of mesonotum 3.3 mm, width of abdomen across segment IV 3.72 mm, relative length of antenna joints I to IV as: 31 : 20: 19: 14. — 9 "• length of body 7.6 mm, length of head 1.46 mm, width of head 1.51 mm, length of pronotum 0.97 mm, width of pronotum 2.65 mm, width of mesonotum 3.2 mm, width of abdomen across segment IV 4 mm, relative length of antennái joints I to IV as: 32:21: 19 : 14. Holotype: 9, "New-Guinea (NE), Wau, Golden Ridge, 3. IX. 1968"; "NG-W-B 65, leg. DR. J. BALOGH" From soil and mould of reeds. — Paratype: 1 o* (tip of abdomen lost) "New-Guinea, H. Copper, Wau, Mt. Missim"; "1965. IV. 22-24., Coll. BALOGH et SZENT-IVÁNY". — Holotype and paratype are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Though there are some differences between the male and the female (e.g. slightly smaller head of the larger female, the shape of the posterior process of the pronotum is narrower on the male, spiracle of segment V visible from above on male) I consider them conspecific on the basis of the similarities. KEY TO THE SPECIES OF THE GENUS EURICORIS KORMILEV, 1958 1 (2) Head much longer than wide across eyes (42 :37), anterior process of head reaching to 5/6 of antennái joint I occultus KORMILEV, 1957 2 (1) Head about as long as wide, anterior process of head reaching to maximum 2/3 of antennái joint I. 3 (6) Connexivum II without two bristled lateral lobes. 4 (5) Antenniferous tubercles not reaching tip of anterior process of head. Posterolateral angles of connexiva VI-VII without long lateral tubercles australicus USINGER et MATSUDA, 1959 5 (4) Antenniferous tubercles reaching tip of anterior process of head. Posterolateral angles of connexiva VI-VII with long lateral tubercles, on male reaching far beyond tip of hypopygium hollandlcus USINGER et MATSUDA, 1959 6 (3) Connexivum 11 with two bristled lateral lobes. 7 (12) Body longer than 6 mm. 8 (9) Antenniferous tubercules almost reaching (9 ) or slightly surpassing (çf) tip of anterior process of head. Posterolateral angles of connexivum VII much surpassing tip of segment IX and very probably tip of hypopygium ferox sp. n. 9 (8) Antenniferous tubercles by far not reaching tip of anterior process of head. Posterolateral angles of connexivum VII. slightly surpassing tip of segment IX (Ç) 10 (11) Anterolateral angles of pronotum forming large lobes produced far beyond collar. Body length over 7 mm piliferus USINGER et MATSUDA, 1959 11 (10) Anterolateral angles of pronotum forming small lobes, not much larger than acute posterolateral, former only slightly produced beyond collar. Body length less than 7 mm. squalidus KORMILEV, 1968 12 (7) Body length less than 6 mm 13 (14) Anterolateral angles of pronotum produced far beyond collar. Posterolateral angles of connexivum VII not reaching tip of hypopygium gloriosus KORMILEV, 1965 14 (13) Anterolateral angles of pronotum produced slightly beyond collar. Posterolateral angles of connexivum VII much surpassing tip of hypopygium szentivanyi sp. n.
