SATÔ at apical third; front angles produced along the outside of eyes, its apex more or less sharp; hind angles acute; surface uneven, distinctly coriaceous, provided with some gibbosity; medio-longitudinal groove broad, distinct, extending from base to apical two-fifths; subla­teral keels somewhat distinct, traced at basal fifth. Scutellum suboval, very scarcely punctate. — Elytra somewhat flat on disc, about 1.4 times as broad as pronotum,about 1.9 times as long as broad, subparallel-sided from base to apical third, then distinctly narrowed poste­riorly; sides crenulate; shoulder pronounced; surface closely pubescent resembling felt; punctures in striae strong, becoming finer posteriorly, but suturai ones fronting a sulcus in posterior portion, interspaces between them one-third to a half as long as their diameter; intervals of striae almost flattened, though third one elevated at base and sixth one rather carinate from base to near apex. — Ventral surface shagreened, rugosely punctate or shallowly pitted; prosternai process broad, its apex feebly notched. — Legs stout; mid tibiae distinctly dilated at apical third on inner side in male and not dilated in female. — Male genitalia as figured (Fig. 2). Length: 3.0-3.5 mm; breadth: 1.1-1.2 mm. Holotype, çf: Korea, Pyongyan, Hotel garden, Prov. South Pyongan, Aug. 5. 1971, leg. HOR­VATOVICH et PAPP. — Allotype, $, same data as for holotype. Paratypes: 39çfçf, 51 9 9 > same data as for holotype. — The type-series are deposited in the collection of Természet­tudományi Múzeum, Budapest, except some paratypes which are preserved in the collection of Na­goya Women's University. The present new species is related to S. anytus HINTÓN from China and S. kaszabi DELÈVE from Vietnam, but can be distinguished from both in having the male genitalia Figs. 1-2.
