Figs. 43-47. Apantales szalayi sp. n. $ : 43 = head in front, 44 = head in dorsal view, 45= part of right fore wing, 46 = tergites 1-3, 47 = ovipositor sheath. - Fig. 48. erasmi NIXON $ : head in dorsal view. The new species is also similar to A. erasmi NIXON (South Germany, North Italy, Czechoslovakia: Slovakia, new record), however, some features differ it sharply : A. erasmi NIXON 1. "Ovipositor sheath conspicuously and characteristacally falcate, strongly narrowed towards base ... (Fig. 18)" (NIXON 1972:705, 741). 2. "Head from above not very transverse" (1. c), hardly twice broader than long (50:30, X 100), behind eyes less Strongly constricted (Fig. 48). 3. "Mesoscutum shining, with weak but quite distinct punctation" (1. c.) ; distance between punctures (on disc of mesonotum) about as long as diameter of punctures. 4. Spines of outer side of third tibia numerous but dispersed, pointed. 5. Propodeum above lunule without any impression. A. szalayi sp. n. 1. Ovipositor sheath feebly arched, not falcate apically (Fig. 47). 2. Head from above transverse, distinctly twice broader than long (50:25-?6, X 100) behind eyes strongly constricted (Fig. 44). 3. Mesonotum subshiny to dull, with dense and quite strong punctation; distance between punctures (on disc of mesonotum) shorter than diameter of punctures. 4. Spines of outer side of third tibia very numerous, dense, rather blunt. 5. Propodeum above lunule foveolate-like impressed . Additional features. — Body 2.4-2.5 mm long. Antenna somewhat longer than body. Ocelli rather close to each other ; posterior imaginary tangent to fore ocellus touching hind two ocelli; distance between fore and a hind ocelli slightly shorter than diameter of an ocellus. Face and vertex rather dull, with
