Papp, J.: New Apanteles Först. species from Hungary (Hymenoptera, Braconidae: Microgasterinae), V

Figs. 34-37. Apanteles piraticus sp. n. Ç : 34 = head behind eyes and mesonotum, in dorsal view, 35 = scutellum with postaxille, 36 — part of right fore wing, 37 = tergites 1-3.— Fig. 38. A. Uneipes (WESM.): tergites 1-3. In comparing the new species to the original description of A. myron NIXON (1973: 196, 203; England), belonging to the metacarpalis-growp, evidently they resemble each other, however, even the features of the species-group given by NIXON distinctly separate the two species : A. myron NIXON 1. Spines of outer side of third tibia tending to be of two kinds, thick and thin, thickened Spines in majority. 2. Anal vein of hind wing short, as long as one-fifth of fold of vannai lobe (cf. Fig. 58, in NIXON 1973:228; and Fig. 70, in PAPP 1976:264). 3. Outer spur of middle tibia at least as long as inner one. Additional features. — Body 3 mm long. Head transverse, twice broader than long (65:32, X 100), almost as broad as mesonotum (Fig. 34). Face superficially and rather densely punctate, shiny, distinctly wider than high, its proportional height to lower and upper width as 25:34:36 (X 100). Antenna nearly as long as body. First four-five flagellar joints thrice longer than broad, further ones shortening and somewhat tapering so that penultimate joint slightly longer than broad (6-7: 5, X 100). — Disc of mesonotum shiny, with distinct and very shallow punctures, interspaces rather shorter than diameter of punctures. A. piraticus sp. n. 1. Spines of outer side of third tibia to be of one kind, thin. 2. Anal vein of hind wing not short, at least as long as two-fifths of vannai lobe. 3. Outer Spur of middle tibia distinctly shorter than inner one.
