Papp, J.: New Apanteles Först. species from Hungary (Hymenoptera, Braconidae: Microgasterinae), V

Locality: Budapest, Rákos Eupannonicum), 22 May 1931, 1 $ (holotype), leg. BIRO. Holotvpe deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest; Hym. Typ. No. 2383. Apanteles immissus sp. n. Ç (Eigs. 19-24) The new species belongs to the laevigatus-gvoup (NIXON 1905,1972 ; PAPP 1976), and closely related both to A. laevigatus (RATZ.) and A. breviventris (RATZ.). I found the following differences between them : A. laevigatus (RATZ). 1. "Mesonotum throughout with rather closely placed, minute punctation..." (WILKINSON 1945: 167). 2. Mesonotum (between tegulae) as broad as width of head. 3. Hind polished surface of postaxille at least reaching up to middle of scutellum (Fig. 26). 4. First tergite one-third times longer than wide at hind (40-42 : 30-31, x 100, Fig. 115 in WILKINSON 1945:168). 5. Second tergite normal, broad, two-and-ahalf times broader anteriorly than long medially (Fig. 115, 1. c). 6. Z> t nearly as high as wide (45:42, X 100). 7. "Side of pronotum: middle zone behind distinctly wider than lower zone behind" (NIXON 1972: 713), middle zone twice wider than lower zone (Fig. 25). A. breviventris (RATZ.) 1. Head behind eyes (in dorsal view) evenly rounded, constricted (Fig. 5, in PAPP 1975: 239). 2. Penultimate joint of antenna nearly twice as long as broad (7:4, X 100). 3. First tergite 1.6 times longer than wide at thind (31:19, X 100, Fig. 7: 1. c). 4. Second tergite normal, broad (Fig. 7 : I.e.). 5. Hypopygium ending well before apex of abdomen. Hairy part of ovipositor Sheath two-thirds as long as third tibia, apically widening (Fig. 8: 1. c). A. immissus Sp. n. 1. Mesonotum throughout with distinctly separated and relatively strong punctation; interspaces about equal with diameter of punctures, posteriorly somewhat becoming greater. 2. Mesonotum (between tegulae) not so wide, head slightly wider than mesonotum (67:60-62, X 100). 3. Hind polished surface of postaxille not reaching up to middle of scutellum (Fig. 21). 4. First tergite nearly twice longer than wide at hind (38:20, x 100, Fig. 23). 5. Second tergite not So broad, twice broader anteriorly than long medially (Fig. 23). 6. D x distinctly wider than high (45:35, X 100, Fig. 22). 7. Side of pronotum : middle zone one-hand a-half times wider than lower zone (Fig. 20). A. immissus sp. n. 1. Head behind eyes (in dorsal view) rounded and relatively strongly constricted (Fig. 19). 2. Penultimate joint of antenna subcubic, somewhat longer than broad (7-8:6, X100). 3. First tergite nearly twice longer than wide at hind (38: 20, X 100, Fig. 23). 4. Second tergite not broad (Fig. 23). 5. Hypopygium reaching apex of abdomen. Plairy part of ovipositor sheath 1.4-1.5 times longer than third tibia, almost evenly wide (Fig. 24). Additional features. — Body 3 mm long. Head (in dorsal view) twice wider than long (43:21, X63). Face 1.2 times wider than high, proportion of its height to lower and upper width as 18: 21:23 (X 63), inner margin of eyes almost parallel. Ocelli of equal size, distance between fore and a hind ocelli shorter
