Material excavated by dr. J. FITZ {LIPTÁK & FARKAS 1967a); Szatymaz (LIPTÁK & FARKAS 1967b); Kardoskút— Fehértó (MARCSIK 1970) ; Veszprém (ACSÁDI & NEMESKÉRI 1957) ; Székesfehérvár {ACSÁDI & NEMESKÉRI 1959); Zala vár —Kápolna (WENGER 1970). By the applied comparisons the following connections could be established : Conquering Hungarians with Lower Volga Sauromatians, Mingetshaur, Székesfehérvár, Szatymaz, Baja-Pető, further with the findings from the Middle Sarmatian Period, Zala vár— Kápolna, and Preslav (Table 6). A smaher rate of similarity can be observed between the Conquering Hungarians and Boise —Tarhan as weh as the Pereyaslavian Poljans. It is nevertheless worthy of note that the Danubian Bulgarian group is slightly nearer to the Conquering Hungarians than the Eastern Slavian. Also, the nearness of Brestovik to the Kérpuszta and Zenta groups is also weh expressed. On the basis of these comparisons it may be inferred that the Conquering Hungarians arrived in the Central Danubian Basin in a relatively similar morphological
