New Apanteles Först. Species from Hungary (Hymenoptera, Braconidae: Microgasterinae), I. By J. PAPP, Budapest Apanteles coniferoides sp. n. Qçf (Figs. 1-2) A thorough examination leads to the conclusion that this species diffères by valid specific features from A. coni/erae (HAL.). WILKINSON'S (1945) redescription of A. coniferae concurs in the majority of the features with the new species, except as follows. A. coniferoides sp. n. 1. Head twice wider (between eyes) than long (20-21:10). 2. Mesonotum hardly wider (between tegulae) than long, ratio of its width to length as 21:18 3. Tergite 1 constricted behind, ratio of its length to fore and hind width as 14:8:5.5-6 (Fig. 1). 4. Front trochanters and proximal half of front femur black. 5. Hypopygium somewhat pointed at apex (Fig. 2). A. coniferae (HAL.) 1. Head about 2.3 times wider than long (26-25:11). 2. Mesonotum wider (between tegulae) than long, ratio of its width to length as 26-27:20 3. Tergite 1 weakly constricted posteriorly, ratio of its length to fore and hind Avidth as 14:9:8-7.5 (see WILKINSON 1945: Fig. 93). 4. Front trochanters and femur red testaceous. 5. Hypopygium slightly rounded at apex (see WILKINSON 1945: Figs. 94-95) Closely related to A. triangulator (W the following features : A. coniferoides sp. n. 1. Face with very fine and somewhat disperse punctation, shiny. 2. Mesonotum hardly wider than long (21:18). 3. Propodeum smooth, at most with a radiating rugulosity around lunule. vi.) from which it may be separated by A. triangulator (WESM.) 1. Face with fairly closely placed, regular, minute punctation frequently appearing as though rugulose. 2. Mesonotum wide, its width to length as 26-28:20-21. 3. Hind third (or quarter) of propodeum rugose, otherwise with sparse obsolete punctation.
