Fissieepheus subclavatus sp. n. (Figs. 24—27) Measurements. — Length : 728 u., breadth: 325 u,. Prodorsum. — Rostrum gradually attenuating but apically rounded. Spatium lamelliforme laterale not covering rostrum in superior view. Proximal end of lamella projecting beyond insertional point of lamellar hairs. ínterlamellar space ornamented with large foveolae, but surface between inner pair of condyli smooth. Posterior margin of prodorsum with 2 pairs of well developed condyli. Lamellar hair essentially longer (100 u.) than rostral hair (80 jx), both flagelliform. ínterlamellar setae straight, rigid, acicular, uncommonly long (80 jx), longer than notogastral hairs (60—68 fx). Sensillus strongly incrassate, its clavus rounded, roughly aciculate. Exobothridial setae also strikingly long (42 fx). Notogaster. —• Anterior margin with 2 pairs of condyli. Surface ornamented with sparsely spaced rounded foveolae. Ten pairs of acicular, slightly roughened notogastral setae present. Notogastral fissure ih situated anteriorly to, fissure ips aligned with, hair r 3 . Epimeral region. — Apodemes well developed, surface of epimeres smooth. Epimeral setal formula: 2—0—2—3.
