MEDVEDEV, MOSCOW Through the kindness of Dr. Z. KASZAB of the Hungarian Museum of Natural History I have an opportunity to study the material of Phalacridae collected during his expeditions to Mongolia in the years 1963—1968. This large material contains over 4000 specimens belonging to 2 genera and 7 species, one of which is new to science. Practically nothing was known on the mongolian Phalacridae. The only species, Phalacrus coruscus PANZ., recorded for "Mongolia" by JACOBSON in "Beetles of Russia and West Europe" (1913) is somewhat doubtful and may be originated from South Siberia or Chinese Mongolia.
