Nagy, I. Z.: Lower Liassic molluscs from the Mts. Mecsek, Hungary

C. listeri (p. 26, Pl. I, Fig. 1), but the form which we list under C. listeri in SOWEEBY'S interpretation is published by CHERNYSHOFF under the name C. ferganensis. Also this taxonomic problem requires variation statistical investigations conducted on a more extensive material. The specimen from the Mts. Mecsek slightly differs, being longer, from CHERNYSHOFF'S forms published from Fergana. The difference derives from the elongation of the posterior apex of the specimen from the Mts. Mecsek. In this, too, it resembles C. ferganensis. Hitherto known from hanging marl, it seems that the specimens, present in the sterile rocks of the coal groups, had escaped attention. The specimen cannot be identified with the variety C. hybrida Sow., and it also seems possible that this form can be included in the Formenkreis of listeri. ? Cardinia sp. Fragments on a piece of coal shale, in pyritized rock. By the character of the growth lines, the specimen is relegable to the Formenkreis of the above genus. Pecs, Thommen shaft, M 57.3711. Superfam.: Cyprinacca; Fam.: Cyprinidae H. & A. ADAMS, 1858; Genus: Isoeyprina BOEDER, 1882. Isoeyprina germari (HUNKER) Pl. II, Fig. 11. 1844 Mesodesma Germari DUNKER — Diagnosen, p. 187. 1901 Isoeijprina Germari (DUNKER) — BÖHM, Pereiros Schichten, p. 242, PL 10, Figs. 5-8; Figs. 22-28. Examined material: Two molds, partially with shells. Pécsbányatelep, András shaft, level VU. M 69.356. Remarks: The elongated shell and the beak-shaped and slightly pro-and declinate apex are rather distinct. The growth lines are also well discernible. The specimens agree with the species from Pereiros and Halberstadt. Isocyprina rotundata VADÁSZ Examined material: Fragments of generally 19-20 mm long and 13-14 mm high shells, molds partially with shells. Pécs, Thommen shaft (M 57.3708; M 62.5899; M 62.6016; M 62.6146; M 63.1317). Remarks: The lunule is almost wholly embraced by two apices. The scutum is surrounded by the incrassate walls of the two shell margins. The concentric costae display a very fine sculpture. A largely perpendicular lateral tooth is present under the apex. It is separated by a wide, triangular gap from the slightly elongated and less distinct posterior tooth. Though highly resembling I. menkei DUNK., the form from the Mts. Mecsek differs by its shorter shell and more anterior apex. COSSMANN'S /. pulla is smaller, its apex in a central position. A frequent species in the Liassic of the Mts. Mecsek.
