of the shell. They agree well with ROEMER'S specimens from Goslar, but the apices of the exemplars from the Mts. Mecsek fail to protrude so high as do those of the type specimens. The thick shells are intensely crystallized (calcitified). Superfam.: IMoriaeca; Fam.: Pteridae MEEK, 1865; Genus: Pterin SOOPOLI, 1777. Pterin pannonica (VADÁSZ) Examined material: Fragmentary impressions, partly with shells, of about six specimens, in black coal shale. Pécsbányatelcp, András shaft, Vil. level. M 57.3709; M 69.302. Remarks: Medium sized (20-25 mm long) specimens of this rallier large species. The posterior auricle is not rounded as on P. capellini they are acute and convergent in an S line with the shell. The depression between the posterior ala and the shell is highly varying, the depth of the groove being different almost per specimen. The ligamental margin is straight, toothless. The ligamental margin and the lack of its socket distinguish it from the Gervillea taxa. The species resembles also P. deshaijesi TERQU., but the difference is hardly conspicuous and appears in the greater size, the more robust apex, the less arcuate lateral side, the wider posterior auricle, and the complete absence of the longitudinal costula. Pteria sp. A fragmentary specimen found in the Thomenn shaft at Pécs (M 62.5931, leg. STREDA). Its habit strongly resembles P. pannonica, but the badly preserved state precludes any nearer identification. Superfam.: Pinnacea; Fam.: Ilakewellidae King, 1850; Genus: Gervillea Defranee, 1820. Gervillea conimbrica (CHOFFAT) 190f Gervilleia conimbrica CHOFFAT. — Böhm, Percriros Schicht., p. 231, Plates 14-16; PI. 9, Figs. 3, 12a. Examined material: A single, 33 mm high mold, with a shell fragment, in blackishgrev coal shale, and traces of pyritization. Zobák, cover of mine I, LowerSinemurian. M 57.3713. Remarks: The specimen from the Mts. Mecsek agrees well with the species described from Moinlos and Kanonenberg, being only slightly larger and more arcuate. Subfam.: Isoçpioinoninae DALE, 1895; Genus: Isomionion SOLANOER, 1786 ( = Perna BRUGUIER, 1792). Isognomon iniraliasicum (QUENSTEDT) 1858 Gervillea infraliasica QUENST. — Der Jura, p. 48, PI. 4, Fig. 19. non 1862 Perna infraliasica PETERS. — Lias von Fünfkirchen, p. 19, Pl.
