Type-material: 1 ex. (Holotype: A — 315p— 67): No. 1006. 19 ex. (Allotype: A — 316 —67): data as for Holotype. 1 Hypopus ex. (Allotype: A —317p — 67): data as for Holotype. 16 çf ex., 32 9 ex-? an d 45 Hypopus ex. (Paratypes: A — 318p— 67): ail from the locality of the Holotype. A part of the hypopi have been taken from Aphodius fimetarius, collected from the same dung heap. Holo- and Allotype, and the majority of Paratypes are deposited in the Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum: some Paratypes in the collections of Dr. K. SAMSINÁK, Praha, Dr. V. RUFES, Praha, and Dr. K. KUROSA, Tokyo. Remarks: On the basis of the hairs of its legs, the new species belongs to the genus Sancassania. The imagos stand nearest to the species 8. bérlései (MICHAEL, 1903), but the shape of the supracoxal hair characteristically differs.
