Ujhelyi, J.: Data to the systematics of the sections Bulbosae and Caespitosae of the genus Koeleria. VII.
ously also the last foreign members of K. DOMIN'S collective species Koeleria splendens PEESL, with the exception of some of his varieties from the Western Balkan, namely var. durmitorea, var. bosniaca, var. albanica, var. atherophora, and var. pubiculmis, and the var. pyrenaica described from the Pyrenees. However, they shall be dissucced in a future paper. Summary As a continuation of the earlier six papers, the present contribution discusses three phylogenetical Series, rather difficult to separate owing to great similarities in habits and construction and to a probable common descent, ranging in the Balkan Peninsula. Some confused nomenclatorial problems are also clarified in this respect. The Series are the following ones : The Series Nitidulae ÚJHELYI with the diploid grade Koeleria nitidula VEL., from Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia, the tetraploid grade Koeleria rhodopea ÚJHELYI species nova from the Rhodope range ; the Series Glaucovirentes ÚJHELYI, with the diploid grade Koeleria pilati ÚJHELYI species nova, distributed in the Eastern Balkan and Asia Minor, the tetraploid grade Koeleria Jcurdica ÚJHELYI species nova, from Kurdistan. There were hitherto listed among the members of these two Series two species (known from Transylvania) of the Series Pseudoglaucae UJH., namely the diploid grade Koeleria schurii ÚJHELYI nomen novum, and the tetraploid grade Koeleria fenzliana SCHTJR. These two are new members of the Bulgarian flora. The Series Penzesii ÚJHELYI inhabits Macedonia sensu lato, from Albania to Greece; the diploid grade Koeleria penzesii ÚJHELYI species nova had heretofore been listed, together with Koeleria pilati UJH., as Koeleria glaucovirens DOM., whereas the tetraploid Koeleria mitrushii ÚJHELYI species nova and its hexaploid grade descendant, Koeleria paparistoi ÚJHELYI species nova, were until now known in literature as Koeleria splendens PRESL or one of its varieties. Finally, a cytotaxonomical error was also clarified: the datum considered hitherto as referring to a Koeleria splendens PRESL plant in fact refers to Koeleria mitrushii UJH., being a 2n— 28 tetraploid plant.
