Dezső, Gy.: The changes of some cephalic measurements of school children aged 7-17 years, in Budapest

The investigated material was separated nto age groups on the basis of the formula : completed year + 6 months. The data gained from the statistical evaluation are submitted in Tables I—VII, with the following parameters or divisions respectively : age group, number of cases (N), mean value (M), annual increase, variance (s 2 ), distribution (s), variational range (V —V). The results can be summarized as follows. The rate of the total increase, accordTable m Entire head height (b-gn) {boys) Age N M Increase 2 S s V - V 7 51 197.50 72. 14 8 49 183 - 215 8 66 202.26 4. 76 55. 50 7 45 183 - 215 9 47 204.15 1. 89 58. 02 7 61 . 184 - 215 10 52 209. 10 4. 95 55. 14 7 42 192 - 222 11 81 209.64 0. 54 47. 03 6 85 196 - 226 12 63 211.13 1. 49 32. 24 5 67 200 - 225 13 90 218.52 6. 39 44. 65 6 68 203 - 231 14 113 221.27 2. 75 56. 92 7 54 208 - 236 15 126 225.98 4. 71 68. 32 8 26 213 - 245 16 80 228. 64 2. 66 60. 98 7 . 80 212 - 242 17 52 231.32 2. 68 59. 04 7 . 68 218 - 247 (girls) Age N M Increase ? s s V V 7 48 192.38 35. 00 5. 92 180 202 8 60 195.93 3. 55 42. 88 6 54 182 208 9 64 200.44 4. 51 43. 46 6. 59 188 210 10 65 200.65 0. 21 51. 64 7. 18 190 215 11 63 204. 03 3. 38 60. 54 7 78 190 220 12 69 208.19 4. 16 42. 82 6. 54 199 225 13 64 210.54 2. 35 39. 28 6 26 199 224 14 27 210.74 0. 20 57 56 7 58 200 225 15 80 213.17 2. 43 47 44 6. 88 200 226 16 107 213.50 0. 33 62 33 7 89 198 228 ing to the order of magnitude of the variation, is shown in the following grouping in mm.): Entire cranial Facial height Bizygomatic Bigonial breadth height breadth Boys 33.82 22.18 18.00 15.05 Girls 21.12 13.97 14.10 11.73 Maximum length Maximum breadth Head-ear height of head of head Boys Girls 15.57 11.44 8.91 6.98 6.26 8.13
