Fam. Laniidae 79. Nilaus afer minor SHARPE 2 (çf 9) Inhabiting Somalia and Ethiopia. The collected specimens originate from the south­ern confines of the range. 80. Lanius collaris humeralis STAN. 13 (11 çf 2 9) Ranging from the Red Sea through East to South Africa. A common species also in the research area. 81. Lanius c. collurio L. 1 ( 9) A common European migrant in East Africa. 82. Laniariusfunebris HARTL. 1(9) Inhabiting the greater part of East Africa. Not frequent. 83. Laniarius aethiopicus ambiguus MAD. 10 (7 çf 2 9 1 unsex) The subspecies was described from the Kilimandjaro by the Hungarian ornithologist GY. MADARÁSZ, in 1904. The original specimens had been collected by the well­known Hungarian hunter and collector, K. KITTENBERGER. The form has a very circumscribed range, covering only NE Tanganyika and a small section of the neigh­bouring Kenya. Not rare in its area. 84. Dryoscopus cubla hamatus HARTL. 19(13 çf 5 9 1 unsex) A widely ranging species, of a southern distribution as regards East Africa; every­where frequent. 85. Tchagra australis minor REICHW. 14 (9 çf 5 9) Inhabiting the eastern sections of East Africa; common. Fam. Paridae 86. Parus albiventris SHELLEY 1(9) Everywhere frequent in Central and East Africa. 87. Parus fringillinus FISCH. & REICHW, 16(11 çf 3 9 2 unsex) A peculiar bird, without known subspecies. It was described from Arusha, near the Mt. Meru, in 1884. It lives only in a relatively confined area, the Masai steppe, but it is common there. Fam. Oriolidae 88. Oriolus auratus notatus PETERS 2 (çf) Inhabiting Central and East Africa; frequent. 89. Oriolus larvatus rolleti SAL VAD. 7 (3 çf 4 9 ) Very widely ranging and most common. Occurring in the entire East Africa. Fam. Corvidae 90. Corvus albus MÜLLER 1 (unsex) Except for the forests and the deserts, inhabiting the entire continent. Despite its great range, a very local, infrequent bird. Fam. Sturnidae 91. Ginnyriculus leucogaster verreauxi Boc. 8 (2 çf 5 9 1 unsex) Inhabiting the southern and eastern parts of East Africa, and also the southern sections of Central Africa. Not rare. 92. Lamprocolius c. chalibaeus HEMPR. & EHRENB. 2 (unsex) Inhabiting the nothern part of East Africa. Common. 93. Gosmopsarus unicolor SHELLEY 4 (2 9 2 unsex)
