MAHÜNKA, Budapest During the systematic working up of the mite fauna of Hungary, I have occasionally published data referring to families belonging to this group. In recent times, species new for our fauna or even to science have again been found. The present paper submits data on the occurrence of eleven species, three of which are also new for science. Pyemotidae Pygmephorus ceratophyi RRCZAL, 1959 Locality: Szigliget, shore of Lake Balaton, 4 Oct., 1961, leg. A. Zicsi. Pygmephorus chaetosus KRCZAL, 1959 Locality: "Gizella major", Mts. Bakony, 10 July, 1963, leg. S. MAHTTNKA. Pygmephorus matthesi KRCZAL, 1959 Locality: wet soil of old riverbed, Surány, 10 April, 1962, leg. S. MAHÜNKA. — Moss on marshy ground, Bugac, 15 June, 1966, leg. S. MAHUNKA. Pygmephorus racki sp. n. Length: 213—221 ja, breadth: 134—146 u.. Yellowish white. Dorsal side (Fig. 1): Propodosoma covered by clypeus to pseudostigma ; anterior margin slightly arcuate, lateral margins behind it gradially diverging, somewhat concave. Stigmata removed from one another, situated near margins, rounded. Pseudostigma originating laterally, ovoid. Propodosoma with one pair of hairs (setae scapulares externae), with a minute insertional point immediately in front of it. Clypeal hairs of equal length, curved, setae humerales internae located slightly anteriorly of externae. Setae dorsales shorter, straight. Setae lumbales internae and setae sacrales internae of equal length, arising near considerably shorter externae. All hairs finely dentate. Ventral side (Fig. 2) : Gnathosoma rounded. Two hairs on first coxal area ; setae coxales I internae long, thin; externae bifurcate. Of two pairs of hairs on coxal area II, externae slightly longer. Epimero III not reaching trochanter of leg III. Praesternal hairs subequal, setae poststernales internae similar but externae somewhat longer; even these extending merely to vulva. Of three pairs of caudal hairs, internae thicker
