Agócsy, P. ; Pócs, T.: Data to the mollusk fauna of Hungary
Cepaea hortensis and Cochliocopa lubrica. Helicella hungarica occur in masses on the sand dunes in the higher points of the Island. All together, we have shown 14 snail species from this area. We have mapped the Hungarian range of some species, primarily of those which are interesting from a zoogeographical point of view and whose picture of distribution in Hungary had been significantly modified by our data. Thus the areas of two endemisms of the Northern Carpathians, Cochlodina parreyssi and Laciniaria turgida, and that of the very rare Ruthenia filograna of a NE-Central European (Sarmata) range, have considerablv increased. In the Transdanubium, our discoveries of the Atlanto-Mediterranean Balea perversa and the Submediterranean Papillifera bidens, new for Hungary, as well as the new data concerning the occurrences of several East-Alpine-Illyrian species, are significant. It is our agreeable duty to express our thanks also in this place to Dr. L. S o ó s of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, having been constantly at our help with his most useful advices and in reviding the critical species. List of species In the list, the arabic numerals designate a mountainous range or a higher areal unit (cf. p. 437). If followed by an asterisk, the occurrence is the first datum from the given region. Concerning nomenclature and the allotment of the data of occurences, we were guided by the two comprehensive works of S o ó s (1943 and 1955—59). If the datum does not originate from our own collectings, we give the name of the collector in brackets. Thus we have included in our enumeration the more interesting findings of Z. Mészáros and J. P a p p as well as some data originating from the Transylvanian collectings of A. B o r h i d i and T. Simon. Theodoxus danubialis C.
